trying to cast using chromecast from android to tv using dish anywhere app, used to work now im getting. (Error connecting to your cast device: Relay casting status code 2473) any help?

I just started having this issue as well. Has worked for the past two weeks and not I’m getting that error too.

Must be something with Dish, & not Chromecast, bc I started getting that error a couple of days ago, too. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling app, factory resetting Chromecast, and rebooting phone. None of these things worked, and other apps are still casting just fine. I sent feedback to Dish about it yesterday, but, if the functionality of the app, in general, is any indication of how high this customer "perk" is on their priority list, then who knows if/when it will get fixed... 🤷🏼♀️

I agree with bosslady508 on this one, that "Error connecting to your cast device: Relay casting status code 2473" does not sound like a Google error message. I would encourage you to get a hold of Dish Anywhere support to see if they are aware of any issues on their end.

I would take bosslady508's steps and contact Dish about the casting issue, there may be some communication errors from their service to the Chromecast. If you get any information back from Dish, feel free to let us know here!
