I am in Australia. One of our streaming services is SBS On Demand. When I open the SBS app on my TV using Chromecast, it doubles the audio. So I hear the same thing said twice a few seconds apart. If I exit out of the SBS app, it still holds on to one of the audio tracks, so even when I am back at the Home menu, I can still hear one audio track from SBS. And if I then choose another app, let's say Prime, it will continue to play the SBS audio along with the Prime audio. So, SBS is unwatchable because the doubled up audio track makes it impossible to understand what is being said. How can I fix this? SBS has lots of great programs that I want to watch. All the other apps I use are OK.

I’m sorry to hear that your Chromecast with Google TV (HD) is doubling the audio when you stream the SBS app. No worries! It is my pleasure to assist you with this inconvenience.
Before we get started with further troubleshooting, let me ask you some important questions:
Thanks for your kind attention; I will be looking forward to your answer.

I have exactly the same problem. But I am using a Fire Cube. The SBS On Demand app seems to, about 80% of the time, open two streams or double up on the audio when selecting the live TV stream - it is like it is opening another stream when a previous stream was already open. My workaround is to go to the "manage applications" in android settings and "force stop" the SBS app. Then open the SBS app again and it will open only one stream.
I wish there was a way to force quit the SBS app, stop it running in the background, when hitting the home button.
