when will bbc iplayer be available on Google TV Streamer?

Hi everyone!

Does anyone know when BBC Iplayer app will be available on the TV Streamer?

I see that BBC approved the device for use last month, so I am hoping the app is available before Christmas!

Been wondering the same thing myself, I got the TV streamer at launch and was utterly shocked and disappointed with the lack of certain apps, the only thing still missing months later is iPlayer.

Yup, I was pretty shocked too.  

I tried talking to Google support but they had no idea when it will be available.  The best they could tell me is "sometime soon"....

It's not a Google think it's a BBC thing. You can sideload it on fine. I've been running it since I got the device in the 1st week

BBC certified Google Streamer last month so it is now for Google to load the iPlayer app onto the platform. 
If people are able to side load it would seem that Google could officially load it!
