I can't enable the Nest Skill using the Alexa app.  My google account has been migrated.  When I get to the page that says 'Google Nest permissions' Step 1 is 'turn on access to your home's information'.  However, I can't use the toggle button to select it as it is greyed out.  Similarly the step 2 which says 'allow amazon alexa to access, control and use your thermostat data' is also greyed out.  If I try to click the 'next' button , it tells me to go back and select the two things I cannot select!!  I have no idea what to do about this?

Hi Wendy Straker-Jones,

I appreciate this will be frustrating, so let me explain next steps. You can visit Amazon’s website for help with Alexa, including its connection to Nest products. For example, you may need to toggle permissions for the Nest skill, or you may need to disable the skill and then re-enable it. Amazon’s website has step by step instructions and additional troubleshooting suggestions:

I also have this issue. I have been trying to solve it for 6 months now. Amazon tells me it’s Google’s fault and Google tells me it’s Amazon’s fault!

Any update? I am in the same boat. Whatever I did I can get the first toggle to work now but not the second one.

My problem is that the Alexa skill appears to want to control the thermostat we installed in a house 500 miles away from us and does not see our current home, even though we updated the nest account.

I fixed mine. Bought an EcoBee. Nest can suck it.

Hello everyone,

Thanks for posting. We'd like you to have a better experience using our Nest Thermostats to explore more of its features controlling it via voice command.

@PatrickRobinson and @ConsonDroppa, we definitely can help you out integrating your Nest Thermostats to Alexa— could you fill out this form and let us know once you're done?

Mark
