I recently bought a Nest Hub Max and Nest Yale lock, because the articles say that a Nest Yale lock needs a Nest Connect or Nest Guard or Nest Hub Max to connect to the wifi. Now while setting up the system, the Nest app says it can be added only if I have a Nest Guard or Nest Connect. It doesn't say anything about the Nest Hub Max.
Does the Nest Hub Max not support anymore for the Nest Yale lock?

Hey Saz, do you have a screenshot of that message in the Google Nest app? Are you using the latest version of the app?

Hi David.
Please find attached the screenshot. Yes, it's with the latest Nest app 5.67.0 on ios.
Moreover, when I click on "Learn more" it takes me to this page where it talks about Connect and Guard only, not Hub Max. https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9240245?hl=en&app=true&country=US&locale=en_US.

Thanks for sharing the screenshot, let me check this with the community team. In the meantime, can you confirm you're using the same account on your Nest Hub Max and it's connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Nest x Yale Lock?

I'm using the same account on the Nest Hub Max, and it's connected to the same wifi as my ios device. However, the Nest x Yale lock is not connected to wifi yet, and that's what I'm trying to achieve by connecting it via the Hub Max.
I appreciate your help for looking into this.

Hi all - appreciate your patience whilst I checked this with the community team. One thing they asked to check is that the Nest Cam feature of your Nest Hub Max is setup as that's a requirement for this functionality to work properly. I think you can check that by following the steps in this help article.
