Hello, we purchased our home last year in November and the previous owner left the nest security system at the house (its the nest camera security system & thermostat combo). We haven't used it since we moved in but last night I think one of our dogs bumped a button or something and the alarm started to sound and I realized we never got the pin from the prior owner and could not get it to turn off. I found the FOBS and used that but if we move the FOB off the system it goes off again. I just created a nest account and read through the manual / online directions but since we don't have the pin I don't know how to reset the system. Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated.

Honestly, for security reasons, I would start over and select a new system. Google is deprecating the Nest Security System, and while it may still be supported, they do not sell it anymore. You may be able to get the information from the previous owner, but you may run into other issues unless they completely remove it from their account. Since you have just moved in, it might be worth while starting over. That is what I would recommend.
