Can't download 5min video clips

So I keep finding posts about the inability to download clips anyway near 5min long. Has there been any sort of update or resolution? All those threads are 'unresolved' and 'locked' with the only input being asking for case numbers.

What I'd love to know, is there an open bug or something for this? If so can someone point towards the bug? I don't have the will power to call or chat support to try all the steps I've already tried.

FOr what it's worth, I will try on the wife's Pixel 6 once she gets home.

So no, a Google Home update seems to have fixed this. But I was looking for feedback from the team, or other users that were having this issue. Plenty had bugs submitted and used contact option and got no where. Was sad to see this form seems pretty dead (45 days to get a response).

Thanks! I heard absolutely nothing back, *but* Saturday I was able to download a 5min video... Haven't tried again though.

I just tried a second ago and it failed. I'm grabbing a bug report to open a case. I did see a post where someone mentioned a Google Home app update was supposed to resolve the issue.

Huh, not heard of that. I just tried a couple other long vids and they work for me now. Once was 5:10min

What version of the Home app do you have? I'm still failing. Showing version 2.50.25.3 for me.

2.52.1.6 for me, on a Galaxy S22 Ultra

That's weird. I have no pending update and see it at the version I posted. Google 6 Pro here.

I side loaded the most recent version and downloads are working now.

Glad it's working, but super weird you had to sideload.

Hi there,

I apologize for my late response and thank you for all of your patience while waiting for a reply. I understand how frustrating your situation must be, and I would love to help however I can.  Just as a side note, this is not the place to get direct assistance from Support. If you wish to contact Support, you can contact them via this link. Do you still need assistance?

Best Regards,

Brad.
