Doorbell camera won't connect on my Android phone's Google Home app

I can view the camera in the Nest app on my phone.  I can view the camera on my Nest Hub and all of my Chromecasts.  My wife can view the camera on the Google Home app on her Android phone.  But when I try to view it on the Google Home app on my phone, it just says Connecting... with a rotation blue circle that never goes away.  No error is displayed.  It just sits there until I give up.  I have reinstalled the Google Home app and I have restarted my phone.  No luck.

Sorry for the delay in getting to this. I just wanted to touch base to see if you were able to get this working for you or if you still needed support. I can see that you have already tried reinstalling the Home app and done the phone restart. Thanks for letting me know. I do have a few questions, however.

  • Which model doorbell is this?
  • Is this a brand new doorbell, or is this one that has been connected to your or someone else's account before?
  • Since the issue started, have you tried factory resetting the doorbell?

If you can give me a few more details, I'm sure we can sort this issue out. I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks.
