Doorbell fascia peeling

Lovelyjubblyman
Community Member

Hi,

my doorbell fascia is peeling badly. I have see a few posts about this, so assume this is a design malfunction.  I have numerous Google products (including paying for Best Aware) and overall I enjoy all of them but this is an annoyance, considering it cost £230 2 years ago.

Photos attached for reference.

Is there anything that can be done to help?

Thanks

Google typically doesn't offer a replacement if it's no longer under warranty, unfortunately. That said, you're welcome to contact the contact the Google Nest support team who can check your warranty status and confirm.

  1. Select "Doorbell", type a brief description of the issue, then click "Next".
  2. Click "Other", then click "Next step" until you see the contact options.
  3. Choose to get a call or call or chat with the team as available in your country.

Thank you very much.

@Lovelyjubblyman

We bought silicone skins on Amazon to cover the peeling shards on two of our Nest Hellos, because Google Nest said they "cannot" replace them beyond the 1-year warranty.

Hi folks,

Lovelyjubblyman, checking in — were you able to speak to our support team as shared by davidking? If so, how did it go? Let me know if you need anything else.

 I appreciate the help here, davidking and MplsCustomer.

Thanks,

JT
