Hi all,
I have a Google Nest Indoor/Outdoor battery camera, I purchased and installed it in June 2023 so 5 months ago. The camera is mounted outside on the magnetic mount, I have then drilled through the wall and I am using the optional extra weatherproof cable to connect it. Its been working fine until this morning, its now telling me it has 6 days of battery left (29%) so I checked the cable is plugged in etc, all connected. So I have tried the other cable that came supplied, the none weather proof one and thats the same. it wont charge.
I thought the whole point of the weatherproof camera was so it could be connected 24/7 and not need charging? Neither cable will charge it though. So faulty camera?

Hello everyone,
@AndrewJB88, thanks for reaching out here in the Community. To know more about this issue, I’d like to confirm, have you tried checking if there's damage on the gold pins on the charger port? Try dismounting the Nest Camera and press and hold the restart button at the back for 5 seconds and try to charge it again. In case you still get the same issue, try connecting the charger to a different electrical outlet.
@Anonymous, the battery can still be charged at 40 °C (104 °F), the hottest operating temperature for Nest Cam (battery) and Nest Doorbell (battery). At temperatures between -20 °C (-4 °F) and 0 °C (32 °F), the doorbell can continue to work, but the battery will drain because it can't be charged. If the battery drains completely, the doorbell will shut down, and you'll need to bring it inside to be charged.
Regards,
Emerson
