Nest Cam Wired connection dropping

I'm having troubles with my Nest Cam constantly losing connection when my internet router is no more than 3 meters away. I have a strong internet connection throughout the entire house and have never had a connection issue with another device. I'm starting to think it could be a faulty camera. If there is any solution please let me know

It can be really annoying when your Nest Cam keeps losing connection. There are a few things you can try to fix the problem:

  1. Restart your Nest Cam. This is a simple step that can often fix minor problems. To restart your Nest Cam, unplug it from the power outlet for 10 seconds, then plug it back in.
  2. Check your Wi-Fi network. Make sure that your Nest Cam is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network and that the network is strong. You can check the signal strength on your Nest Cam by opening the Nest app and going to the Devices tab.
  3. Move your Nest Cam closer to your router. If your Nest Cam is too far away from your router, it may not be able to get a strong enough signal. Try moving your Nest Cam closer to your router and see if that fixes the problem.
  4. Update your Nest Cam's firmware. Nest regularly releases firmware updates that can improve performance and fix bugs. To check for updates, open the Nest app and go to the Devices tab. Tap the Settings icon next to your Nest Cam, then tap Check for updates.
  5. Factory reset your Nest Cam. If you've tried all of the above and you're still having problems, you can factory reset your Nest Cam. This will erase all of your settings and data, so be sure to back up your Nest Cam before you do this. To factory reset your Nest Cam, hold down the power button for 20 seconds. Once the Nest Cam has reset, you'll need to set it up again.

If you've tried all of these steps and you're still having problems, you can contact Google Nest support for further assistance.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
