Nest Doorbell (Wired) Cracking and Peeling

fairladyz

Nest Doorbell (Wired) face is all cracked and peeling.

I filled out the form mentioned in other thread but no response so far.

Could you provide the replacement for it?

Also what happens if this happens with the new replacement?

Thanks,

Get in touch with Google support, when it's still under warranty it will probably be replaced for free.  You can contact them trough this link: https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp?authuser=1

If i'm not mistaking, the newer ones use a different kind of coating that shouldn't peel anymore.

I also think that a lot of direct sunlight (you can't turn around your house of course, so if that's the case, that's it) to this "black" doorbell can have an influence on peeling of the top coating.

@Techno_Guide

I'm not sure the "newer ones" are using a different kind of coating. We have a 21-month-old Google Nest Hello Doorbell that is peeling.  Google Nest says they "cannot" do anything about it.

Hey fairladyz,

Appreciate the help, Techno_Guide and MplsCustomer. I'm dropping by to ensure if everything is covered here. Hope that sheds some light on the issue.

Thanks,

Archie

Noting was resolved.Great to have others' inputs but nothing was resolved.

Nobody from the support contacted me after I submitted the form twice.

Hey fairladyz,

Oh no! Sorry to hear that. Could you fill out this form and let us know once you're done?

Thanks,

Archie

I filled out the form twice and did it again just now.

Thanks,
