Nest (Wired) Doorbell Chimes work intermittently

Strange issue.  Wired doorbell mechanical chimes with chime connector properly wired in circuit works fine (chimes ring properly when doorbell button pushed) when IPhone Nest and Home apps turned off, but don't work properly when either app turned on.  (Chime striker moves a little then, but insufficient to make chime sound.) Transformer upgraded to 16 volt 30VA.

Internet is through Hughesnet satellite.  Any thoughts or suggestions welcome.

Garrett,

Both chimes working now.  Replaced both transformers (old 16V 10VA)with 16V 30VA.

Why was your question so late?

If the voltage is correct try the following steps: Go into the Nest App, Doorbell > Settings

  1. Make sure the the Indoor chime is on

  2. Scroll down and look for Chime duration and set to 3 seconds

  3. Ring chime

  4. Set back to 1 second so it wont burn out, or try turning off again (where ever you had it before)

That should work

Thanks, but these are mechanical chimes, not digital.

These directions are for mechanical chime.
