No events detected

My nest doorbell has detected movement and I get the notification. When I go into the Google home app, it does show a preview of the event, but when I tap the event to see the full recording, it says "no events detected." My router is less than 8 feet away from the doorbell. What's going on?

Same issue here @stilljammin313 . It's so frustrating. I've spend hours with Google trying to sort it out with no luck. You aren't alone, there are a lot of people reporting the same issue. I wish I knew if it was a problem with the doorbell or the google home app but I can't figure that out

Same issue. Tried Google. Advised to reset. Hasn't fixed it. Also, the battery does not last more than two weeks, even though it's plugged in and only about 5 to 10 events per day (not that I can view those events). I have many Google products and this is by far the worst. I would advise anyone to avoid.

We had the old plan and that never happened. We went to add an additional camera and was instructed to update to their latest plan which we did and that is when our cameras started doing the "event not detected" yet there is one. I have tried everything to fix it and nothing works. If you go 15 seconds before the event it will play it back for you (sometimes) but Im finding that it is not recording things correctly. Sucks to pay money for something that doesn't work - makes me regret getting an additional camera and upgrading our plan.

It seems to be getting better for me. Waiting 30 seconds plus after the event helped (i.e. don't imminently click on the notification). Also, using the recently added forward and backward buttons rather than going into the full history seems to help.

I will add that I presume there has been an update to the doorbell recently as I have not had any battery for a few weeks and it seems to be consistently showing as connected to power (infinity sign)

We are having this problem on the nest cameras. We have always had the 15 seconds back or forwards so that’s not new for us. In order for us to view it we have to go back prior to the event to view it and even then it’s not recording correctly

Brad, I have tried to reach out to Google to resolve this issue. It’s not an internet issue or a battery issue. I’ve tried all the troubleshooting that’s on nests website. It all started exactly when we updated our subscription.
