Why does the new outdoor battery nest cam not show up on my Nest App?

Looks like several other users are having this problem.  Links are below:

I bought the new Google Nest Cam Outdoor/Indoor Battery model that was recently released.  I added it via the instructions to my Google Home App.  I can view the video without issue.

However, the new nest cam does not appear on my Nest App.

How do I get it to appear on my Nest Mobile App or the Nest Web?

Any plans to make it start appearing in the nest app? Any ETA? Didn't expect such a close ended response from specialist. As customers, we all look for consolidation of products across the board in single place/app, and nest app is one such automatic choice for nest products.

This is a terrible move. I purchased the battery camera to add to my system. Now I can’t even use them with time lapse or on the computer screen at all. This is something that he to be fixed. I have been recommending these cameras to everyone and bow I will be steering my customers to a different product all together. This needs to be returned to nest. They knew how to do this right.

That is not really an answer.   What has happen is Google has ruined the benefits of Nest system .  In my view I waisted $300 because I now have 2 systems instead of one.     Why don't you move Nest thermostats to another platform so I can have 3 platforms.  What is the purpose of Google Home to not work on a computer and mobile app

I  just installed Nest Cam Battery, and cannot view it in my Nest Apps. Apparently according to this community... it will never appear in Nest apps. Really unexpected.

I JUST bought the new cam to use with my nest aware account. I had no idea it wouldn't work. What is the point of it being a "Nest Cam" if you can't view together with all your cameras. Please rectify or make the Home app have the functionality that we need.

I think it’s because they’ll need a bigger update on the app. The battery cam probably isn’t on live view all the time to save battery. They’ll need to update the app to allow this cam to only go live by request. If NEST team is reading this, I just bought a solar panel that’s compatible with your nest cam, will that work to keep it running even if it’s on live view? Maybe you guys should’ve come out with one.

I have noticed that there are no replays. I guess google is so big they no longer care about customer care. I have really enjoyed these cameras but when a company does this to paying customers it is really sad. I am not happy with this new camera (its settings) and will no longer be buying any more google products unless they stop being so ignorant and start helping their customers. Maybe we should call them Microsoft..........Sorry cant do that. I have had Microsoft contact me and fix a problem.

I returned the Google Nest battery outdoor cam, got my refund and bought the original Nest NC4100GB IQ Outdoor  Camera (wired) on Ebay, works just fine on the Nest App and I feel has better night  vision. And most of all  I stream remotely when not at home, the main reason I got them in the first place. You will find these older second hand cameras are more expensive then the newer Google version. The Google version you will find many being sold on Ebay cheaper than the original as people are getting rid of them, that says it all in my opinion.

Hey Google! Does it only work in voice? It appears so. You guys, I've spent all day tryna integrate that battery cam to nest, thinking I had crossed over 2 different homes deleted my home inside the home app which had over 10 devices. Going though and adding them back was very annoying. Just to not have it show up in spaces WHICH YOU MADE THE FEATURE OF SPACES TO SHOW MULTIPLE DEVICES!! Tryna sort through it on the search, realizing after reading this forum that Google had made this Cam trash. For one starters the Home app is not made for security cameras. I'm really confused on how this product was ever released without a functional app? And you locked it to one provider so no third party so dumb.

They have made a decision and they won’t admit it they have made a bad mistake it’s quite obvious that they don’t care and they won’t fix this problem and guess what you cannot return the items when I called they told me to take it back to where I got it from JB hi-fi don’t wanna bar of it so I cannot return my product I am stuck with it $1000 worth of rubbish. Or we can do now is warn other people not to buy nest there are so many other cameras out there that work of one app and not the stupid Google app well done Google you’ve sucked us all in and taken our money
