Wired doorbell not connecting, green light on, wont factory reset

My doorbell is just past the 1 year warranty mark and suddenly it says "offline" all the time. NOTHING worked to fix it. I am now trying to factory reset it and it WILL NOT factory reset!! I found several other forums with people in the exact same predicament and Google hasn't helped anyone and then they shut down the blog so no one can continue talking on it or asking questions. What a joke, they need to be accountable if they have a bunch of the same devices becoming faulty between the 1 and 2 year mark!! A few specifics on the situation:

-we were having issues with it becoming offline sporadically leading up to this permanent issues (I should have reached out to them then so this would have been covered)

- all of a sudden the usual resets we were doing to get it back online didn't work.

-nothing we do creates ANY lights around the doorbell button

-when its plugged in, there is a consistant green light up top (supposedly indicating its working and powered)

- reset AND factory reset have been attempted at least 20 times (attempted not only with a wired connection but also while just charging via micro usb).. the ONLY thing that happens in all the reset attempts is the green light turns off and then it turns back on.. that is it..

-my wifi connection is fine there is nothing obstructing the connection (I took the doorbell inside and had it connected to power while it was right next to the wifi router and it changed nothing)..

I look forward to a specialist replying so that hopefully everyone can get come answers..

It's been over a year since I posted the same concern. Google never responded.

Unfortunately, if you've reached out to Google and they haven't offered to replace it, you'll have to.

I keep mine as an outdoor cam. I can still get doorbell notifications on my phone, but it won't handle an indoor chime anymore.

This is just a user forum so you may want to actually reach out and speak with a Google Tech on the phone.  Here is the link to open a support ticket.  I believe they are there 24/7.

Thank you! That is very helpful! I will definitely reach out to their support team using this link! Every time I looked for someone to contact it kept redirecting me to the forum page because I'm outside of my warranty time period.  😞
