2nd gen indoor wired camera only recording 3 hours

I have the 2nd gen indoor wired cameras in my apartment. I tried to find them on the nest app and didn't see them as an option when adding a device. I went through the setup as google home. Now the cameras are only keeping events for 3 hours. I am paying for a membership for 60 days or 10 days of live footage. How do i fix this issue?

good luck!  google got rid of the NEST app and now the cameras suck.  here is what i went thru today.

BEWARE OF GOOGLE CAMERAS/NEST

Unable to stream my live camera feeds (battery doorbell and wired nest cam floodlight) to my TV as outlined in the google article here: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7529598?hl=en

I contacted google today and spoke with Helen.  She said nest cams only work with smart hub displays (even though it is advertised right on the box that it works with chromecast). She gave me some BS story about how the OLD cameras work with chromecast, but the NEW ones don't.  How would a customer even know if they are getting a NEW or OLD version of the camera?? Further, the setup process in google home even advertises you can stream to chromecast devices.  Google even emailed me after setup (automated) about 'what your nest can do' and it included streaming to chromecast!!  Helen's only advice - submit feedback on the website, so here I am.

The NEST app on your phone is worthless.  You can't add new nest devices to it.  If you try, you are routed to google home to add it. The NEST app you can add via chromecast is also worthless.  There is absolutely NO way to even sign into your account.

I'm so frustrated and will likely never buy another google product.  Of course I'm out of the return window.  Seriously considering filing a warranty claim since the product does not work as advertised.

False advertising and doing nothing for service recovery is a very bad look, google.

If anyone is considering a NEST cam, I would absolutely NOT get one.  Zero stars.

Unfortunately, as many of us have discovered, the new Google Nest cameras and doorbells released starting in the fall of 2021 work ONLY in the Google Home app and NOT in the Google Nest app or on the home.nest.com website.

However, if you have a Nest Aware Plus subscription, you should be able to see 60 days of event history and 10 days of continuous footage as long as your Nest Aware subscription is set up in the same "home" as your cameras in the Google Home app.

Yeah it's not letting me do that and I don't have an option to get notifications from the home app in my iphone settings.

Do you have more than one "home" in the Google Home app? (The Google Nest app calls them "structures".) (If you have more than one "home", you get a drop-down when you click the name of the "home" at the top of the screen in the Google Home app.

In the Google Home app, if your Nest Aware subscription is in the same home as your cameras, then if you click the Settings icon and then select "Nest Aware", you should get a screen saying "Nest Aware Plus" or "Nest Aware", depending on your subscription.

And if you select the camera in the Google Home app, and select Settings, and then select "Video", under "Video History" it should say what you're getting for your Nest Aware subscription. (Ours says "60-day event and 10-day 24 / 7 video history".)

I'm not sure what you mean by not having an option to get notifications form the home app in your iPhone settings. On your iPhone, if you go to Settings and select Notifications, "Google Home" should be on your list of apps.

But you set up the actual notifications in the Google Home app by going to to Settings for the camera, selecting "Events", and then selecting "Seen events". There you can set up which events to flag and whether you want notifications. You can also set up zones there.  It's not as intuitive as in the Google Nest app, however.
