Fraudulent Billing Practices

Google markets and sells nest aware subscriptions to those with battery only and battery/wired doorbells even though nest aware is not compatible with those devices.  Google refuses to issue refunds for the months they collected subscription fees fraudulently.

The Aware subscription does differ between product types but you should've been able to cancel via your subscriptions to stop the billing.

Google sold me a Nest Aware subscription and charged me for 1 year of a service that is not compatible with my Nest doorbell.  It wasn't until I needed to access video history from my doorbell that I learned that even though I've been paying for a subscription, the subscription does not work for a Nest Aware wired and battery doorbell.

Since your Nest Doorbell is not compatible with the Nest Aware you have, have you already cancelled your subscription for it as per JillG's advice? If not yet, you may go to this link to follow the instructions for canceling your Nest Aware subscription.

The subscription is cancelled, but Google refuses to issue a refund for a service they sold me knowing full well that it's not compatible with my doorbell.  Google's customer service has been awful, nobody at Google seems bothered that they sold a subscription and charged me for over a year, but the subscription was never compatible with my doorbell.  Why did it take so long for me to notice and reach out to google for a refund?  I never needed to access video history until a few months ago.  It wasn't until I needed video history that I learned battery powered nest doorbells don't have 60 day history capability. 

The entire experience has reduced my confidence in Google, it's support staff, and they way they do business.  Expecting Google to be accountable and honest is too much to ask.
