Yet to install mine...all these posts about vaping or showering and dust...I live in a granny flat. Dust is insane. So much electircal equipment here it's like NASA.
Any way to train NEST not to go off with vaping? Or anyway to lower that particular sensitivity setting?
Im sure the app will have every other option under the sun....but can i adjust it...does it learn. Is it really a smart device.....
And can I tell what version it is...
I don't want my partner to light a candle or incense or sage...and it goes mental....I'll be putting a kill switch on it to arm when I'm asleep or not home if possible...is it that smart or have a I just paid allot for of misery....
Cheers!!

Yes, I've seen various users say this can trigger Nest Protect.
Specifically, it will more than likely trigger the "heads Up" function, which is designed to detect small trace amounts of smoke to give you advanced notice and the full alarm would more than likely sound if you're vaping near to it.
As long as you're not vaping close to the device, you could workaround this by disabling the "heads up" feature in the app but then you'd have no advance warning of smoke detections.
