I have a home in Texas with a Nest Aware Subscription. I want to set up a second subscription on a second home in another state. I have clicked on the email link I received when the second home trial ended but am unable to get it set up. Can anyone assist? Seriously should not be this difficult.

You could try selecting the "Contact us" link under "Nest Aware Premier Care" on this "What you get with a Nest Aware subscription" help page to "Get 24/7 access to Nest Aware Experts on the Nest Customer Care team. They’re available to answer questions, help you access features, and manage your subscription." I think this might apply to U.S. customers only.

I was provided a number to call and they were able to assist me in resolving the issue.
The email I received to create a second subscription did not show the second home in the drop down to set up a subscription on my mac. However when I used the link on my phone, it had the second home and I was able to proceed.
