Nest Aware vs Google Photos facial recognition

I am a heavy Google hardware/software user. I love the facial recognition software for Google Photos once I name a "face" it's almost 100% accurate. I do have major issues with the Home/Nest Aware familiar face detection for my doorbell and security cameras, which is about 70% accurate. Does anyone else have similar issues with these two platforms? Why wouldn't they Home/Nest Aware use the same amazing facial identity software that Photos uses? If Nest Aware incorrectly labels a face to a name, I should be able to correct it manually instead of just deleting the image. Thanks!

Adding on to this, I have been unable to even follow the "delete the image" advice given here. On both occasions where the incorrect person is "recognized" the image shown in the face library *is the correct person*, not the person in the event at all.  This picture is often from WEEKS before the incident as well, and I assume is the photo in my library that Nest has used to "recognize" the person in the video.

Case in point: I had a false recognition today, where my wife was "recognized" by my yard camera as me.  If I go into the event, the photo shown is a photo from my doorbell of *my* face from DECEMBER.  Deleting that photo does nothing (and why would it, since it looks NOTHING LIKE MY WIFE).

Thanks for forwarding. Hoping there is some improvement because the current setup for facial recognition for the cameras, especially when paying for the Nest Aware subscription, is pretty pathetic. Hoping it gets improved or I will not be renewing.
