Trying to setup new nest protect smoke detector. Downloaded the app and constantly getting the error there was a problem connecting to the nest services. Try again in a few minutes. Cannot add the detector to my account. Pixel 7 pro no VPN. My wife's pixel 7 worked flawlessly and she was able to add it.
How are you connected to the internet: Mobile or WiFi?
Try switching between these to see if any of this helps.
Did your wifi invite you to the Family option of Nest?
Or are you trying to log in with the same account? 🙂
@Clayblack14 I'm sorry to hear about your trouble setting up your new Nest Protect. However, if your wife already adds it to her own account, then she just has to add you as a family member to have access to the Nest Protect. The Nest Protect can only be linked to one email address but it can be shared through the Nest App via inviting a home member. Click this link for the steps on how to add a home member.
