Best protect network doesn’t appear

When going through the setup steps, you have to connect to the nest wifi network on your phone - this network never appears so I can’t get past this step? Any suggestions??

P004(0.80) is the error code I get when I try to set up with the QR code if that helps

Hi Rosstgrieve,

 

I'm sorry to hear about your trouble setting up your Nest Protect. To confirm, have you tried resetting your Nest Protect to the factory default? For the P004 error code you may try these steps:
 

  1. Ensure the device is awake and in ready mode.
  2. Make sure Bluetooth is on. Turn Bluetooth off, then back on to refresh the connection.
  3. Put the mobile device on airplane mode, then turn on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
  4. Quit and restart the Nest or Google Home app.
  5. Restart the phone or tablet.
  6. Move all devices being used for pairing closer to the router.
  7. Restart the router.
