Cant add a nest protect to the nest account

I have gen 2 nest protect I changed the router and after that I can not add the nest protect to the account I also bought a 2nd new one both of them won't get connected to the account google help line is use less.

I have 4 nest indoor cams and a nest thermostat.  They work fine.

Plz help if any one has a solution

Thanks for posting here in the community. I'm sorry to hear about your troubles connecting your Nest Protects to your new WiFi network. Let's go ahead and see what we can do here. To confirm, what app are you using to connect your Nest Protect to your new WiFi network?

 

Give these steps a try:

  • If you can't update the WiFi connection through the Nest app, I'l suggest you get all of them and place it on a table near your WiFi router.
  • Reset all of your Nest Protects to the factory default.
  • Don't forget to remove all of them from the Nest app before adding it.
