First Alert Sc5 battery

Hi all

My nest protects are expiring shortly and I’d like to replace them with battery first alert sc5. I’ve had a look online but can’t see a UK supplier and I can’t order directly from US website. 
  Can anyone help pls?

Hi @Thops 

There is no equivalent recommended by Google for the UK unfortunately. First Alert is only available in the US and Canada.

Thanks David. I’ve seen sc5 on UK Amazon, although the battery version is not currently available. Would you know if the battery option is compatible in the UK if I can source from Amazon?

That's outside my area of expertise I'm afraid. You would be better served to contact their support team instead: Support | First Alert

Given it's not officially sold or supported in the UK it wouldn't be my first choice for a safety critical device (I'm also located in the UK).

I was planning to use existing mounting plates from Nest for SC5 but all in all it seems like  this is a non starter. Back to looking for alternatives!

I'm in the UK and bought one from Amazon UK.  Unfortunately you need to connect it to the First Alert app (before then linking to Google Home) which is not available in the UK.....
