To provide the best support with this, I've shared this with the Google Nest community team, who can check on possible options and next steps.

I'm not the first to report this, but this warrants a new report, as it makes the feasibility of Google Assistant/Home/Nest devices non existent.
When I ask Google a question, I get multiple of my Google devices answering. This includes duplicate alarms, music etc. I've tried factory resetting, and I've ensured that all devices are on the same Google account and the same 2.4ghz network with no luck.
Looks like there has been little to Mo movement from Google on this, so I've personally left a 1 star review on the Google Assistant app. Unless this is fixed, that is all it deserves and I implore others to do the same.

When I say "Hey Google, Turn on the lamp" I get a response on Google Mini (beeps), phone (says "Turning on lamp") and smartwatch (beeps) as they are all connected to Google Home and Smart Things.

That isn't what it's supposed to do, though. Only 1 Google/Nest device should respond

Hey Melanie,
Having hot batteries for your Protect is not idea. I wanted to follow up and ensure you are good to go and the device is working properly. Please let me know if you are still having any trouble from here.
Best regards,
Jake
