Installing Nest Protect in New Build, No Wi-Fi

Greetings! We installed wired Nest Protects all through our new build, but there is of course no wi-fi in the house yet. They want to do an inspection, but without wi-fi, we're wondering how we would set-up the units. All the instructions online include a step to choose your wi-fi network...

Thoughts? Anybody else ever try to setup a Nest Protect without wi-fi?

It's not possible to setup Nest Protect without Wi-Fi and internet access, unfortunately. One workaround would be to use the Wi-Fi hotspot feature on a phone or tablet. You'd need two devices to set that up.

• Turn on the Wifi hotspot feature on a phone or tablet. If you're not sure how to do this, refer to the manufacturer's support website.
• Connect a second phone or tablet to that Wifi hotspot.
• You can then use that second phone or tablet to setup your device and connect it to the Wifi hotspot on the first phone or tablet.
