Restating another person's question, why are we limited to 5 homes on our account? I would like to add all my rental properties to one account.
I own a lot of rental properties and I want to get notifications when a Nest Protect alarm is triggered. I can't get that notification if I'm logged into one account and the nest protect that is triggered belongs to a different account.
In the apartment buildings I own each apartment's Nest protect is assigned to its own home. This is because I don't want multiple apartments sharing the same home because if one Nest protect sounds in one apartment then the other Nest protects will sound in the other apartments. So it is necessary to have a home set for each individual apartment.
If I have 20 apartments then I have to have, as it currently stands, four different Google accounts with each account having a limit of 5 homes. It's not possible to be logged into all accounts at the same time on my Android.
Since multiple accounts are already possible it should take very little effort to push a software update to allow a much larger number of homes or infinite amount.
Please open a ticket with the development team so they might add this as a feature in an upcoming iteration.

This is a mostly a user to user community, therefore if this is important to you, I’d encourage you to also send this feedback directly to Google. You will not receive a response, unless Google need more details from you, however the team are still reading the feedback.

I agree with your suggestion. Yes this is a community forum but this is something that has been complained about the many years with Nest and now for Google. Maybe this will get some attention as the "share feedback" goes into a black hole. It is too bad that google does not have a suggestion and upvote page.

I totally agree and also maximum number of people per home causes me issues on HMO properties. When nest was a separate company, I was allowed more members of the household. Google reduced this meaning my doorbells are useless now.

Not sure what you mean, "maximum number of people per home" in regards to delegating control of the network?

I have same issue
I maintain wifi at 12 locations and never had an issue with google wifi until they went to the home app
Is there a workaround?

Hey Goldenboy,
We hear you — I'm afraid that there is no workaround that we can provide but we've passed your feedback along to our team.
Stay tuned for more news and updates.

I haven't tried this yet but there may be a way to connect each Google account to Alexa or ifttt and get notifications for Nest Protect alarms. If anyone has tried that, do share.
