I purchased a battery version of the Nest Protect Gen 2 to replace my wireless Gen 1. The problem is that the mounting plate on the Gen 2 is completely different than the Gen 1 and I cannot mount it to the old electrical box that was there for our very old wired smoke detector. How do I mount a Gen 2 smoke detector onto a wire box?
