I would like to use nest protect in a small 9 room hotel. The Nest app only manages 5 units. If I set up each unit as a room in the same house is there a way to keep them separated from each other? I don’t want to have all units go off when 1 is going off. Also would there be any privacy issues if I set them up in the same house?

You can have up to 18 Nest Protect per "home" in the Nest app.
If you set them up in the same "home" in the app, if one sounded they would all sound. To avoid that, as you're looking at doing, you would need to create a separate "home" in the app for each unit. Because you can only create 5 "homes" in the app using 1 email address, you would create and login to the Nest app using a different Google account in order to manage the other 4 units.
