Is there any way to make the notifications "obnoxiously unavoidable?" It seems like the standard "ding" is too easy to ignore with junk text bombarding my phone constantly. Isn't there a way to distinguish between a junk text & my house is on fire?
Feels like for the protects that it would make a unique, constant sound on the phone that wouldn't stop until acknowledged...

Notification tone assignment is a function of the phone, at least on the iPhone. Not much that Google Nest can do, it appears.

I did see it but still looking for a solution. Would be great if IFTTT was still supported so you could get a call. Protects are great but not sure the value if it just sends a typical notification. It might be more an Android issue. Feels like we should be able assign priorities to notifications.

Hi,
Have you seen the thread about the numerous people having the P.009(0.80) Error? In the last step (adding the Nest Protect to the account), many people (including myself) get this error a,d the message that the Nest Protect cannot be added to the account.
This is frustrating, and a lot of people experience this.
