Nest Protect randomly chimes and says hi

At least random 2 times a day, my Nest Protect will chime then say “hello” or “hi from Nest”. Anyone else experiencing this?

Yes, I'm getting that too. It weirds out my dog. I purposefully don't have it connected to wifi because that seemed to make it happen more often.

Yes, happens for me too. Not that often, but usually in the middle of the night so that it wakes everyone up. Bloody annoying.

I'm having this same issue. Plays a musical sound and says hi in the middle of the night. I've tried everything. reset, new batteries....

I'm assuming gen 1. built in 2017

Please advise.
