Nest Protect stuck on Emergency Mode

Please help, my nest app / nest protect is stuck on Emergency mode. I've tried clearing cache, clearing data, but it's stuck in this mode and continuously sends me notifications saying there's smoke.

Have you tried a full reset of the device and then re-adding it to your account?

Press and hold the centre button and release the button when your Protect starts to say its version number. It will then erase all of the settings and can be re-added to your account.

if the problem still persists, one of the Admins can send you a link for next steps.

Hello there,

Thanks for helping here, @H-Man.

@Wizard1, I'm checking back in. Were you able to do the steps above? I'd be glad to hear from you — we'd like to make sure everything is working.

Regards,

Mark

While yes, I did a full reset which solved the immediate problem, is there something that could be escalated to prevent something like this from happening again? It's not practical for me to have to go an grab a ladder to manually reset it. I spent a good hour trying to relink it after bc it kept on giving me errors when I was trying to relink/add
