Nest Protect won't connect to Wifi after New Wifi name

I recently got a new internet modem from xfinity. I only have one internet name but I think it supports 2.4 and 5GHZ. Everything else in my house has paired well to the internet but when I try to pair the the Nest Protect, it says "Something went wrong".

I've seen others with similar problem and they said to use the same name of the internet, my problem is my last internet name was some random numbers and letters that I won't be able to duplicate.

Nest Protect can only connect to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. Does your router have separate Wi-Fi network names for each band? I'd suggesting turning that option on in your router's settings if possible and connect it specifically to the 2.4 GHz band.
