Nest protect not connecting

Hi,

I have 3 Nest Protects (Ground floor, first floor & loft).

All have been working fine until the protect on the first floor disconnected from the WiFi and won't reconnect.

I've tried resetting the router and done a factory reset of the protect bit it just won't connect to the wifi and get error code P006 3.10.

The 2.4 and 5 bands on the router have separate names.

Very odd that it was working fine and now isn't. Especially as the other 2 protects are connected and working along with a nest thermostat.

Any help would be appreciated.

Did you ever get it working? I’m having this exact same issue, all other devices work fine and my Nest protect is the closest to the router! It worked fine for 5 months.

Hi,

Still not able to get it to connect. I've tried everything.

Unplugging, resetting, batteries out, put it next to the router.

The other 2 protects work fine.

I understand that wifi issues when it comes to your devices can be confusing but I definitely wanted to stop by and see how I could help. 

 

Just wanted to double check to see if you were still needing help on this? If so, what troubleshooting steps have you tried?

Hello Garrett, we’ve tried every thing listed under error P006 (multiple times on different days). For some tries, the unit was removed off the wall and we even tried right next to the router. This is a new device and nothing has changed on my side since it was installed, all other Nest devices bought at same time work fine. It worked fine for about 5 months, then in the nightly check, it just no longer connected, but it still lights up when I taken the room and all sound tests worked. Thank you.

Exactly the same for me. Very frustrating.

Did we lose you? Do you not know what to do? Is there a warranty that we can get a new protect? These things aren’t cheap and to only work 5 months, in my case, is ridiculous. Thank you. 

Mine is only 10 months old and is still ridiculous that it has become faulty.
