Many home wifi routers use the same wifi name (SSID) for both the 2GHz wfif and the 5GHz wifi.  The NEST can only connect to the 2GHz wifi.  As a test, try turning off the 5GHz wifi in your wifi router and see if you can connect then.

Thanks I’ll give it a try

Same issue, on top of that after the reset (as recommended) the app crashes when I try to add the device back on the network.

Although I don't think it's required, I seem to have the best luck with both the phone and the Nest are on the same 2GHz WiFi network.

At our house, I have 2 WiFi networks.  One for 2GHz devices like the Nest and our weather station and another WiFi network for laptops and other phones.

Turns out it is a known bug in the current IOS app and affects all IOS devices
