Replacement part for Nest protect button

Can I get a replacement part for my nest protect? The button on the front has cracked and constantly says there is smoke

This is my response to your questions regarding my Nest product and photos. I have bought several Nest Protect products over the past few years and would not have any idea on when I would have purchased the specific one that is giving me the false smoke alarms now.

According to the information on the back of the Nest Protect that Iʻm writing you about, it says it was manufactured in 2016 APR 23 and that it should be replaced by 2026 APR 23. I wanted to attach the photos per your request but donʻt see where the camera icon is you talk about??

Hey vtropic,

 

I'm sorry for the delay. I'm afraid that what you saw is the lifespan of the smoke alarm, which is 10 years. Nest Protects has a one year warranty. In any case that your Nest Protect is less than a year since you purchased it, you will be eligible to get a replacement. When did you purchase your Nest Protect?

smoke sensor failure on a 5-year-old unit and pushing the center button and cracking this one.

@DougW, since you have a 5 year old Nest protects, it looks like its warranty has expired, I recommend that you purchase a new one. Check out the available Nest Protect we have by clicking this link. You could also go to the Special offers tab to check for bundle offers and rebates.
