Smoke Detector Hallway pathlight turns on and off randomly throughout night with no motion

The path light on one of our smoke detectors is randomly turning on and off even when there is no motion and I have turned that feature off in the app.  It is ruining my sleep.  Any suggestions?

Hello @annieshome,

I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you are having. Under Nest Protect settings there are two options for the Pathlight. 1. is to turn the Pathlight off. 2. Is to adjust the brightness of the Pathlight.

Can you verify that the Pathlight setting is off and then press the button on the Nest Protect to force the change to occur? You may need to select on and then off again to force the change. If the problem still exists you may need to replace the Nest Protect batteries.
