Thanks for reaching out and sorry for the delay.
You'll get an alert on your phone or tablet from your Nest Protect as long as your Protect has a working Wi-Fi connection and you're logged into your Nest app. Alerts are also saved in the Nest app in Messages. If you ever need to review them, just click or tap on the Messages icon in the Nest app home screen. Take a look at this link to know more information about your Nest Protect's lights and sounds: https://bit.ly/3AYalCB
the notification seems to be lagging.
If out of the blue a smoke warning is triggered, no notification is send.
If after several hour a fire alarm is triggered, the notification is sent, after that the clear smoke alert is sent and if I try another smoke waring it's sent.
Seems like the smoke warning does not wake up the wifi but I believe it's essential as the fire will likely start with a smoke warning.
As you can see the order of alarm is not complete,
the first local warning was not reported (it warned me for a couple of seconds before sending a smoke alarm.
when the fire alarm was silenced, the notificatino were not sent via push but only visible in app
I'm able to trigger at will with an e-cigarett.
