nest protect battery vs. hardwire

i have next protect BATTERY versions. Can I adapt them to be hardwired or do I need to buy new ones?

You can't adapt them to be hardwired, they simply don't have the hardware to be wired. Wired models have a power connector on the back, whereas battery models do not.
