Looking to confirm compatibility and wiring for 3rd Gen Nest Learning Thermostat. We have a heat pump with electric auxiliary back up heat. Unsure how to add a photo to this message (doesn't appear to have an option). Our current thermostat is a Honeywell Home ProSeries with the following wires being utilized: Y (yellow wire), G (green wire), C (blue wire), O/B (brown wire), W2/AUX (white wire) and R (red wire). Any help is greatly appreciated!

Did you put the red to RC or RH on the nest? I’m concerned about the electric auxiliary heat working this winter.

apparently, your heat pump is what we know is a B model and not an O model. You need to go into settings and then equipment then go to the heat pump, and change the checkmark from O to B and your heating and cooling will work properly
