3rd gen heat link - H71 Error code

donvcha

Hi, my heat link has stopped working, no lights on at all, it does have power and the thermostat has the error code H71.  I have tried all the guidance suggested online but the heat link is dead.  Can someone please advise me how to get a replacement?  Thank you.

Hi, I’m in exactly the same situation, same error code and no light on my heating! And cannot find a way to resolve the issue, which is frustrating!

Hello there @donvcha and @Countryescape ! Thanks for posting. I am really sorry to hear that both of you experience the same issue with your thermostats, but I'm more than happy to assist. Can please both of you answer the following questions:

1. How long has your thermostat been installed for?
2. Have you had any power cuts recently?
3. Have you had any work done on your electrical or heating systems recently?
4. How many zones are present in the setup?

Thank you for responding, my answers are:

1. I don't know, it was in the property when I purchased the property in March 2023

2. No power cuts.

3. No work done

4. Just one thermostat

Thank you.

Hi there and thanks for the answers. Could you please confirm if the next steps have been tried?

Check for all the breaker switches to be on.
Turn the breaker switches off and then on again.
Turn on manual mode. (press on the button of the Heat Link)

Thank you for your response.

Yes I have checked the breaker switches and turned off and on again.

I can't turn on manual mode, button is dead and no lights on.

Thank you.

Thank you, the issue has been resolved, I am having a new Heat Link fitted tomorrow.  Thank you for all your help with the problem.

Apologies for the delay as I had trouble logging back in.  Yes these have been done.  The heat link just doesn't work.

Can the heat link be replaced without having to replace everything?  Earlier this year the other heatlink failed and Box automatically came out to replace it.
