Best Thermostat not showing up on Bluetooth

New Nest thermostat not showing up in Bluetooth. I’ve followed all troubleshooting steps. What can I do to resolve?

Nest thermostats do not use Bluetooth, the Nest thermostats use WiFi. 

NestPro, Google Pro, Mechanical Engineer and HVAC service company owner.

Thanks. The Nest troubleshooting info says that the Bluetooth is used to link the thermostat to your Nest account. That is what is not working. The thermostat is successfully installed and connected to my WiFi.

The Bluetooth connection during the set up only helps your thermostat and your phone to better pair with each other. But I'm glad that you were able to successfully add your thermostat, @JedFaroe. Great job!

Hi Mark, I am still not able to pair this Nest thermostat with my iPhone despite the fact that it is connected with my WiFi and three other Nest thermostats in the house are successfully paired with my iPhone. Any ideas?

I'm sorry for the confusion, and thanks for clarifying that you haven't paired your other Nest thermostat. Let's sort this out.

 

Do you mind me asking what type of Nest thermostat you have? Here's your reference to tell which you have. Also, did you get any message codes when it failed to pair?

Hi Mark, The instructions I had seemed to say I should use the Google home app to connect to my Nest account. When I followed the link you sent I found that I needed to use the Nest app. I did so and now am good to go. Thanks so much!
