Hello,
I am looking into getting a Nest thermostat, I looked at my wiring and I don't have a C wire connection, will that matter?

Check behind your wall, I had a similar setup to yours and was able to locate an old blue C-wire buried beneath the dry wall, just connected it and traced it back to the furnace control board and then connected it to the C terminal there.

Yes, definitely see if you have an unused wire back there....and use it at the C terminal...check other end at furnace as well.. Nest will not work properly without the C wire, even though Google says it will....

Nest thermostats are designed to work without a common ("C") wire in most homes. During installation, a small number of customers may find that the Nest Thermostat does not receive sufficient power. The Nest Power Connector or a C wire may be necessary. See g.co/nest/cwire for details.
