I get the same error message every time I try to add the new nest thermostat I just installed to our google home app:

Thanks for reaching out here in the Google Nest Community.
Let's check a couple of things for us to further isolate the issue. Did you use the Google Home app when setting up your thermostat? Check that the Nest Thermostat is connected with the same Wi-Fi network.

We were able to add the thermostat to a new google home account, but now we have to log into that account to access the thermostat and log out and re-login to access all our other google home products. is there a way to merge them?

I am sorry to hear you are having trouble with the device not wanting to add to the app still. Do you mind me asking which model of Nest Thermostat you own? Yes, I do still need help. The issue is unresolved, and the only messages I’ve been getting on this thread is “do you still need help” but unfortunately no suggestions or solution. I’ve added the nest thermostat to a new google home account but would like to merge it to my existing google home account. Please advise. Thanks
