Hello,
I just moved into a nice Boston suburb home which has a nice Carrier Infinity system installed. I believe it has a heat pump, gas furnace and a humidifier. I want to install a nest thermostat. Is it possible and compatible?
Thanks for help!

No thanks. It looks like I'd need specialized help to rewire the controller wires to match with the standard, C, Y, D, etc. instead of my ABCD,

Hi DonNest,
Thanks for your interest on our Nest thermostats.
I suggest that you check our online Compatibility Checker to ensure that your system is compatible. You may also check on this link for more information: https://bit.ly/3qZ6OQ1
If you still need help, please post a photo of your current thermostat wires and the exact make and model of your Carrier Infinity system so I can check on if further.

This forum page unfortunately, doesn't let you upload a picture. I have to find a host and paste the url link.

Hey there,
That's odd. Is it possible to use a computer if you have one? There should be an option to drag and drop a file to your response there.

Hey there,
Thanks for these photos. Upon checking, the wires in your thermostat’s connector have non-standard labels (for instance 1,2,3, or A, B, C). This means that your system is proprietary. I'm afraid that proprietary systems aren’t compatible with Google Nest thermostats. However, some proprietary systems can be rewired by a pro installer to be compatible.
