We have a new central heat pump system with a new Nest Learning Thermostat. We want to disable the Auto Schedule feature directly from the thermostat (not from an app). We want to change the temperature ourselves manually from the thermostat, based on daily conditions, not on what happened yesterday or the day before! The steps to do so should be simple! We have seen YouTube videos with different steps, and we could try them by trial and error. (Many viewers have had the same extremely annoying issue and were ready to rip the thermostat from the wall due to its memory that none of us want.) We're inquiring here first. Help, please?!

i’m almost completely new to Nest Learning Thermostat (it was installed on Monday) and despite having read throughn all the bumf I can’t work out how to stop it from pre-heating. I just want heating to start at my scheduled time, for example 18.00 - I don’t want it to start preheating 3 hours earlier.
