G Nest Thermostat Problem connecting to cloud

I adding to a new location and when I tell it there are no devices currently set up in this home I receive the Problem connecting to cloud please try again later error.

Hey there Heidi1, 

Sorry to hear about the issues that you're getting with the app when trying to connect the thermostat, I know it can be confusing, but I'm happy to help. 

 

Please try the following steps below that may help you fix the issue.

  • Uninstall and reinstall the Google Home app on your phone.
  • Make sure that your Bluetooth is on during set up.
  • If you still encounter the same issue, try to force close the Google Home app and relaunch after 2 minutes.
