H71 error but the Heat Link seems to have no power

My heatlink has stopped suddenly today, no lights at all. I have tried power on and off and pressing the button for 20sec etc. but no light on it

I’ve experienced the exact same thing today as well. Heat link seems to have lost all power suddenly, unable to reset and resolve the H71 fault.

Just noticed that Google has shown message on nest community , this seems to be UK wide issue. Not good at all. Being without hot water and heating due to nest issue.

Hi there @RPatel and @Tomwah! I'm really sorry to hear about your issue, but I'm here to help. Could you please respond to this set of questions and try the last three steps?


Have you recently had service or maintenance on your electrical, plumbing, or heating system?
How many thermostats do you have?

What type of Nest Thermostat do you have?
Were there any power outages lately?
Check for all the breaker switches to be on.
Turn the breaker switches off and then on again.
Turn on manual mode by pressing on the button in the middle of the Heat Link.

Hi Paul,

I spoke to Google support this morning who are sending out an engineer to replace my broken heat link. Thanks for reaching out. Hopefully  RPatel gets sorted too

How many thermostats do you have? ONE

What type of Nest Thermostat do you have? Nest Learning Thermostat.
Were there any power outages lately? YES there was a power outage couple of weeks ago in middle of the night
Check for all the breaker switches to be on. YES ALL Switches are ON
Turn the breaker switches off and then on again. TRIED THIS NO LUCK
Turn on manual mode by pressing on the button in the middle of the Heat Link. TRIED THIS NO LUCK
