I am receiving error E298, how do I fix it?

Receiving error E298 and I have replaced batteries, check all wires and nothing has helped.  Its hot and I dont know what else to do.

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with your Nest Thermostat. The message that you're getting means that your Nest Thermostat is not detecting any power from the R wire. If you haven't yet, please try the steps on this link to isolate the issue.
